As a para I LOVED participating in spirit days. I even ran them at Sunrise for several years. To be totally honest, the western one is actually from a book fair theme (I made the saloon doors myself) and 2 others are from children’s birthday parties I was invited to. If there is a theme, I will dress up! I couldn’t find a picture of my favorite one where I dressed like a (spitting) llama. I also got a shark fin and teeth for a pool party.

I think the students really enjoy it when the adults participate. I have no problem looking “silly” because that’s just part of working with kids. It disappoints me when staff doesn’t participate.
